Google said “Avoid links building” Does it mean no more link building

After John Muller  statement “I'd Avoid Link Building In General “ new thing which is floating in the market is building links can harm your SEO. So let’s get clear on this thing that every game have some basics and similarly link building is basic of SEO and basic can never be ignored, but there is always a chance  to improve up on basics and this what actually Mr Muller  meant in his statement when he was asked “is link building in any way better?” He responded “In general, I’d try to avoid that.”

So improve upon on the basics

Here Mr. Muller basically means to differentiate between  good links and bad links. Which in all means linking is not bad, but making bad links is bad and many companies create bad links just to boost their ranking . To know why google considers links good and bad we need to understand the objective of google.

Objective of google is to show better result to the searcher. When user search on Google and get  their desired results, it’s making them happy and also increase loyalty of them for google. These users share their experience with friends, which in all increase more users, more clicks and more money from paid advertisements. Google uses the links to show the result initially google was not paying too much heed on quality of links so companies started building large numbers of fake, low quality websites which became a big threat for google reputation.

So the conclusion of Muller statement is “ Make high quality links and get awesome results”
